LUAP Exhibits in Bow Arts’ Bring Your Light at the Nunnery Gallery

LUAP shows a work selected for its warmth and emotional resonance in Bow Arts’ 2023 exhibition Bring Your Light, curated by Chila Kumari Singh Burman at the Nunnery Gallery.

In October 2023, LUAP takes part in Bring Your Light, Bow Arts’ annual open exhibition at the Nunnery Gallery in East London. The show features 26 artists from Bow Arts’ studio and educator communities, brought together under a curatorial brief that invites reflection on the idea of light — creatively, emotionally, or symbolically.

The exhibition is curated by Chila Kumari Singh Burman, known for her bold, politically charged work and her 2020 commission for Tate Britain’s Winter façade. LUAP’s selected work brings warmth and psychological clarity to the show, offering a quietly powerful perspective on healing, presence and emotional resilience.

“I really think the world is in a lot of turbulence right now,” says Burman. “It’s a really good opportunity for artists to bring light out… We want this show to provoke people to feel magical, dazzling, courageous, and passionate.”

Bring Your Light runs from 19 October to 17 December 2023. LUAP’s participation reflects his continued alignment with exhibitions that centre the emotional, reflective and social dimensions of contemporary art.
