Royal Academy Patrons Visit LUAP’s Studio

LUAP recently welcomed a group of Royal Academy of Arts Patrons to his East London studio for a private and immersive experience. The visit provided an exclusive opportunity for the guests to explore the artist’s creative space, gain insight into his process, and view new works inspired by recent international travels.

During the session, LUAP shared stories, photographs and paintings from his recent expeditions to Mongolia and South America. These adventurous journeys, often undertaken in remote and challenging environments, form a vital part of LUAP’s artistic practice—deeply influencing the themes of isolation, introspection and human resilience that run through his work.

Visitors engaged in open conversation with the artist while viewing both completed pieces and works in progress, including various interpretations of LUAP’s iconic Pink Bear. The exchange sparked thoughtful discussion around his evolving body of work and the broader narrative it conveys.

The visit was part of the Royal Academy’s ongoing efforts to foster meaningful engagement between artists and their patrons, offering behind-the-scenes access and enriching the cultural dialogue
