Holiday House - Pre Launch
LUAP’s Pink Bear supports breast cancer research at the inaugural London event
LUAP has proudly joined forces again with a breast cancer charity, a cause deeply important to him personally. His grandmother passed away from breast cancer when he was very young—a loss that profoundly impacted his family, particularly his mother. For LUAP, supporting breast cancer charities is about more than aiding those diagnosed; it also helps their families and loved ones. Given the widespread nature of the disease, he believes it's something everyone should actively support.
Holiday House was founded by Iris Dankner, an interior designer and a 20-year breast cancer survivor who combined her passion for design with fundraising. Over the past decade, Holiday House has raised more than $1 million for breast cancer research, becoming an iconic fixture in New York's design calendar and inspiring further events in the Hamptons and NYC’s Soho district.
This year, Holiday House has come to London, setting up in two elegant St John's Wood townhouses. The event features 25 individually designed rooms, each created by leading interior designers such as Rita Konig, Nina Campbell, and Nicky Haslam. Renowned brands Farrow & Ball and 1stDibs are among the notable sponsors.
LUAP has contributed his artwork titled Pink Bear Is Coming To Town (2016), a vibrant acrylic and screen print on Somerset White Satin Paper. The print is featured in the charity’s art auction, managed by Christie’s, with all proceeds going directly to UK-based breast cancer research programmes.
The exhibition is now open, running from 9 November to 10 December 2017, inviting visitors to explore rooms filled with drama, luxury, and beauty, all while supporting vital breast cancer research.
