My Little Pony
My Little Pony is a deeply personal series inspired by LUAP’s journey to one of the most remote places on Earth—Mongolia. Confronting fear and uncertainty, LUAP pushed his limits, blending childhood memories of My Little Pony with his iconic Pink Bear. This fusion creates a powerful dialogue between nostalgia and resilience across paintings and photographs.
The series captures moments of transformation and courage through vivid, textured imagery exploring vulnerability and strength. Set against Mongolia’s vast wilderness, the works reflect an intimate confrontation with fear, while familiar childhood symbols offer comfort on the path to self-discovery. Later, LUAP created haunting images of horses at night—riding with a flag of peace—as a symbolic act of facing and overcoming nightmares.

LUAP’s Journey Across the Mongolian Wilderness
LUAP’s passage across Mongolia was more than an artistic pursuit—it was a confrontation with his deepest fears. Never having ridden a horse, he faced the raw challenge of mastering an ancient mode of travel amid one of the planet’s most unforgiving landscapes. Through sheer determination, he overcame physical strain and emotional resistance, choosing horseback to honour the nomadic traditions and tread lightly on the earth. Over ten days, he traversed vast, rugged steppes, capturing haunting images where his signature Pink Bear silently witnesses this transformative odyssey—a testament to resilience, vulnerability, and the power of facing the unknown.

A Dance on the Edge of Control and Chaos
Continuing his quest to unravel the threads of fear and liberation, LUAP embarked on a rigorous project in Ibiza. Far from leisure, this was an intense artistic exploration where he joined forces with a stunt rider whose expertise lies in the raw, physical language of high-stakes cinema. Together, they choreographed a series of dreamlike images—visceral, suspended moments where flesh and machine merge, and the fragile line between mastery and surrender is both challenged and revered.
This project probes the paradox of human will: the desire to command one’s fate amid forces that threaten to overwhelm. Through the interplay of motion and stillness, control and abandon, LUAP’s work becomes a meditation on resilience—an ongoing dialogue between body, psyche, and the untamed impulses that drive transformation. Here, fear is not merely confronted but transmuted into a fluid, haunting beauty that lingers long after the image fades.
